Warehouses hire forklift operators who are fast, safe and careful with stock. Your CV should show the types of equipment you operate (counterbalance forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, stacker), the capacity in tons, how high you stack and the type of goods. Add your forklift licence or training, your accuracy and your safety record. If you also scan, count stock or use a warehouse system, say so, because many jobs combine those tasks.
Forklift operator with 6 years of warehouse experience on counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks up to 3 tons. Skilled in loading and unloading containers, racking up to 8 metres, stock checking and safe handling, with no damage claims in the last 3 years.
Counterbalance forklift, Reach truck operation, Pallet jack and stacker, Warehouse racking and stacking, Loading and unloading containers, Stock counting and labeling, FIFO and FEFO stock rotation, Barcode scanning, Forklift safety checks.
A counterbalance forklift is used for loading trucks and general moving. A reach truck works inside narrow aisles and lifts pallets to high racks. If you can do both, say so on your CV, as it makes you more valuable to warehouses.
Many companies ask for a training certificate or an operator card and also give an on-site practical test. If you do not have a certificate, write your years of experience and be ready for the test.
Write the type of goods, how many pallets you moved and the equipment you used. Even a small warehouse shows you understand loading, stacking and safe handling.
One page is enough. Put your forklift types, licence and warehouse experience at the top, followed by safety and stock handling skills.
